Wasting Time.

I hate that I have to go here again. I wish I could keep this blog about working out, eating right, and motivation to do those two things. Unfortunately, there's some really sad things going on in our world and I feel obligated to say something.

I'll keep this short.

Think back to elementary. If someone is picking on you, the teacher said, "Just ignore them and walk away." Then, as we get older it's called "taking the high road" or "being the bigger person"... It's so hard, though. And Facebook makes it harder. My husband says, "Facebook is just a place to waste time on your soapbox" and I have to agree with him at this point. And I've been guilty of it, too. Basically, I just wish that people would stop shoving their opinions in everyone elses faces all the time. We need to all learn something here. We are all of different backgrounds, we've all had different experiences, we've all been raised differently, we've all been hurt in different ways, and we all have weaknesses. And this creates the reason and our right to different opinions.

So here is my pledge at least until this outrageous election is over.

I will not contribute my opinion. I will not argue. I will walk away. I may even shut down the ol' Facebook for a little bit. I can't take this. I've only been here on this earth for 28 years, thus I've only been of voting age for 10 years. But I will tell you. As far as my memory serves me, there has never been a more putrid pissing match between the left and the right than this year in politics.

MEET. IN. THE. MIDDLE.

BE. NICE.

WALK. AWAY.

I'm OUT.

Chelsea Welsea

UPDATE: There are a few things that make me happy. My unbelievably supportive husband whose warmth suprises me daily. My unique and also supportive friends who are doing such amazing things in this world. My family who unconditionally loves me. My son for being my son and for consisitenly making me question my ways, thus molding me into a better person. And oddly enough, anyone I come in contact with who is just happy. People who I don't see every day or some I don't even know who aren't fighting or scowling or being sneaky or manipulative, but are spreading their goodness just by being happy.
